Kuehne & Nagel expands in Germany again Lu sur : http://www.transportintelligence.com/ Friday, November 21, 2003 Kuehne & Nagel , the global forwarding and logistics provider, has announced that it has entered into close collaboration with a medium-sized German logistics provider, WM Group. By acquiring a 40% stake in WM’s groupage and full load subsidiary, WM Cargonet, Kuehne & Nagel will strengthen its European overland operations. At the same time it has also developed its contract logistics business in eastern Germany through the acquisition of two WM facilities at Chemnitz and Leipzig . These will be integrated into K&N’s existing network in the region which includes operations in Berlin ,Dresden and Erfurt . Germany has been targeted by Kuehne & Nagel as a key market for strategic growth.
