Based in London, Speedmail has been operating successfully for many years, both in the UK mail market and in moving international business mail to and from the UK. The acquisition is in line with the Deutsche Post World Net Group strategy for expansion into other world markets. In the business year 2002/2003, Speedmail International, which has some 110 staff, handled 12 million items, making it one of the few licence holders moving significant volume.
