A team of Accenture, INSEAD, and Stanford University researchers has drawn a statistical correlation between companies' financial success and the depth and sophistication of their supply chains. Specifically, the supply chain leaders are showing market-capitalization growth rates significantly higher than the industry average growth rate. In addition to that powerful supply chain-financial performance link, the team identified the best practices, challenges, metrics, and success factors that accompany a bottom-line-focused supply chain transformation.
