* Expeditors announces net earnings up 35%
Expeditors International of Washington has announced net earnings of $37.61 million for the second quarter of 2004, compared with $27.91 million for the same quarter of 2003, an increase of 35%.
* TPG reports strong Q2 performance and record margins
TPG’s Mail & Express division reported record second quarter margins, while the Logistics division’s earnings were double those of the prior year period. TPG’s operating income was higher than in any second quarter in its history, up 30.8% year-on-year, on revenues that were up 4.2%.

Pacer International has reported financial results for the three- and six-month periods ended June 25th, 2004.

Exel has won a five-year, £150 million contract with UK-based buying consortium, Nisa-Today’s; and reports good turnover and profit growth, with underlying EPS up 9.7%.
* Grupo TMM reports Q2 net profits of $8.1m
Grupo TMM SA, a Mexican multi-modal transportation and logistics company and owner of the controlling interest in Mexico's busiest railway, TFM, reported revenue from consolidated operations of $241.6 million for the second quarter of 2004, compared to $228.8 million for the same period of 2003.
* DPWN’s Q2 operating profits up 45%
Deutsche Post World Net reported a strong first half, with a profit from operating activities up 14.5% to €1.68 billion from €1.47 billion in the year-earlier period. Consolidated net profit rose 10.9% to €721 million. Second-quarter EBITA increased by 45.2% to €752 million, while second-quarter net profit nearly doubled to €280 million.
* Total Logistics announces record earnings for Q2 and H1 2004
Total Logistics Inc has announced second quarter 2004 net earnings of $1.86 million, an increase of 262% compared to the prior year's second quarter net earnings of $515,000.

USF Corp has reported a $2 million loss from continuing operations for the second quarter ended July 3rd, 2004, compared to an income of $8.1 million for the prior year period.
* Ryder announces 83% increase in Q2 2004 net earnings
Ryder System has announced net earnings of $63.6 million for the second quarter of 2004, up 83% compared with $34.7 million in the year-earlier period.
* NOL reports sustained growth and profitability
Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) has reported second quarter 2004 net profits of US$186 million, more than double the net profits of US$68 million in the prior year period. Total net profits for the first half of the year increased 299% to US$354 million.
