DFDS Transport (Canada) acquires Fisker Cargo

DFDS Transport has signed an agreement to acquire the assets and activities of Fisker Cargo Inc (FCI). (6/21/2005)
FCI has offices in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto and Fort Erie, and is the currently the agent for DFDS Transport’s Air & Sea division in Canada.
FCI’s annual turnover is approximately DK115 million. (15 millions d'euros environ)
DFDS Transport has acquired FCI in order to strengthen its operation in Canada where the recently acquired JH Bachmann Group already has an operation. The acquisition allows DFDS Transport to continue business relations to customers controlled by FCI.
It is the intention to integrate these two operations, which will lead to both administrative and operational synergies. This integration will take a couple of years, after which DFDS Transport in Canada is expected to reach an EBITA margin in line with the Air & Sea division of DFDS Transport.
The takeover is expected to take place effective 1 July 2005. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
