Summarizes all the facts, figures and experiences with Longer and Heavier Vehicles (LHV's) in the Netherlands from 1995 to 2010. The report provides an overview of thirty Dutch reports on Longer and Heavier Vehicles and the business cases in the report describe the practical experiences from transport companies with Longer and Heavier Vehicles. A few of the subjects that are being addressed in the report are: transport costs, modal split, sustainability, road infrastructure, LHV-regulation and traffic safety. The main conclusion of the report is that the current Dutch policy on Longer and Heavier Vehicles works well.
