DFDS takes over remaining 50% of HKS Holding
In terms of an agreement between DFDS Transport (Denmark), part of the DSV Group, and HKS Invest, DFDS Transport (Denmark) will take over the remaining 50% of the share capital in HKS Holding for an undisclosed purchase price. (3/4/2005)
HKS Holding is owner of HK Samuelsen Transport and HKS Grænsespedition, which are situated in Sønderborg and Padborg respectively and are engaged in air, sea and road transport activities and customs clearance.
In 2004, HKS Holding and subsidiaries reported a turnover of approximately DKK 125 million with an EBITA of approximately DKK 5 million.
The take-over is effective 1st January 2005. HKS Holding and its subsidiaries are already fully consolidated in DSV's consolidated accounts, and the 50% share of HKS Invest A/S has been booked under minority interests.
For DFDS Transport (Denmark) the take-over strengthens the company's position as the leading air- and sea forwarder in Denmark.
HKS Holding and subsidiaries have been co-operation partners for the DFDS Transport’s global air and sea network for many years. The take-over is expected to create positive operational and administrative synergies.
