DFDS acquiert Bachmann
DFDS acquiert Bachmann.
___________________________
DFDS et Imperial ont signé un accord selon lequel DFDS Transport acquiert 100 % de Bachmann.
The Bachman Group of companies has an annual turnover of €160 million, EBITA of approximately €4 million. Germany accounts for an annual turnover of approximately €110 million, and is a sizeable player in the trade between APAC (the Asia-Pacific region), and Bachmann Germany has a long tradition on the trade with the USA.
Outside Germany, the Bachmann organisation is represented in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
The acquisition is a major step in DFDS’ expansion strategy, which includes growth through acquisition in strategic areas as well as organic growth in well established markets. The Bachmann acquisition is intended to strengthen DFDS’ global air and sea activities generally, and specifically secures a strong own network on the very important trade Germany-APAC region and Germany-North America trade lanes.
It is the intention to integrate Bachmann with DFDS Transport’s Air & Sea division. Group management expects that this integration will create both operational and administrative synergies, which are expected to be fully implemented within a period of three years, after which the EBITA margin of Bachmann is expected to be in line with the average margin of DFDS Transport’s Air & Sea division.
Imperial Logistics International GmbH is a subsidiary of Imperial Holding, a conglomerate with an annual turnover of €4.5 billion and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
