Hamburg, 3 April 2007. Kerry Logistics - the international logistics provider - is expanding into Eastern Europe. It has founded a national company and opened its first branch in the new EU member states in the Czech Republic's second-largest city, Brno . The move marks the beginning of the Chinese logistics company's strategy of further expansion, which was announced some time ago. Czech customers now have a direct contact on the spot in the country, and can draw on the company's inside market knowledge and relations management. With over 20 years' experience, Kerry Logistics is one of China 's biggest logistics providers.
For Kerry Logistics it is vital to be close to the customer. That is why the Czech national company was deliberately located in the Brno boom region. The branch is situated close to the CPT (the Cernovice and Modrice technology park) and offers its customers Air and Sea Freight activities with various services, guaranteeing the well-known Kerry Logistics quality levels. The person responsible for Kerry Logistics in the Czech Republic is Gabriela Seregova. Czech customers can now draw locally on global transport solutions and complex contract logistics services for their Asian operations. "The Brno office is just the first step in our expansion into the economic centres of the new EU countries. Apart from providing smooth-running processes, we also want to offer our customers contact staff on the spot. By doing that, we are creating new jobs," says Albert Klamert, Managing Director Austria and Eastern Europe, who is developing the national company from his base in Austria . "We aim to become one of the top players in Asian logistics. Customers nowadays are demanding value added.
